Flu Vaccination
We run a seasonal flu vaccination service from September to February.
We dispense NHS and private prescriptions from Doctors registered with the General Medical Council (GMC), Dentists registered with the General Dental Council and any other prescription from the NHS. However, we cannot accept prescriptions specifically for hospital use only.
We stock a wide range of OTC medication to treat minor ailments such as cough and colds etc.
You can bring any unused or unwanted medication for safe disposal in our pharmacy.
We provide methadone dispensing and supervised consumption of methadone/subutex.

We have a private consultation room for anyone wanting to discuss any confidential and personal matters with our pharmacist or friendly staff.
We dispense ostomy and catheter products on prescriptions. The products are supplied with free disposal bags if required. We can also supply dressings on your prescriptions.

This service is to provide support and advice over several weeks when a new medicine has been prescribed.
It is available to people who have been prescribed a new medicine for the following conditions:
You will be asked to sign a consent form and can ask the pharmacist any questions about the medicine that you may have.
You will be invited to an appointment 7-14 days after you first receive your medicine. The pharmacist will ask you questions about how you are getting on with your new medicine. You can also discuss any issues that you might have experienced.
This is a follow up appointment 14 to 21 days after you receive your new medicine. You can catch up with the pharmacist to talk about how things are going with the medicine and ask for more advice if needed.
Many minor illnesses such as coughs and colds, hay fever, headaches, indigestion, head lice etc can be treated by medicines that can be purchased from the pharmacy. We can give out certain over-the-counter medicines FREE of charge to patients who are exempt from prescription charges to treat minor illnesses.

We offer a FREE medicine review regarding your regular medication. If you are worried about side effects, drug interactions or any other issues regarding your medication, please feel free to ask the pharmacist. No appointment necessary.
We offer weekly dosette box that can be useful for patients who have difficulty remembering to take their medications correctly. To take advantage of this FREE service, you would need to contact us on 0161 881 4777.
Our accredited pharmacist can supply free of charge emergency hormonal contraception (levonorgestrel) when appropriate to clients in line with the requirement of a locally agreed Patient Group Direction. If the emergency contraceptive tablet is unsuitable, the client will be referred to a GP, the family planning clinic or Brook Advisory Centre. Please contact the pharmacy to check our accredited pharmacist's availability.
Many people are not aware of the risks involved with having high blood pressure as the symptoms do not usually show up. However if high blood pressure is untreated, the chances of having other illnesses such as heart problems, strokes, etc could increase.
We can offer FREE blood pressure checks and lifestyle advice for anyone who wishes to have their blood pressure monitored and no appointment is necessary.
